Vocals + Instrumental
The classic vocal remover. Perfect for karaoke tracks and acapellas, and it works with your free credits.
4 stems
Vocals, drums, bass and other instruments, so you can mute or remix any part.
6 stems
Adds guitar and piano on top of the 4 stems. Piano is still experimental.
What you can make with VocalErase
How credits work — no subscription
One credit splits a song of up to 4 minutes into vocals + instrumental; songs up to 8 minutes cost 2. The 4-stem and 6-stem modes use more credits, and the exact cost is always shown in the app before you start.
New accounts start with free credits, which cover the vocals + instrumental split. Any credit pack you buy unlocks every mode. Bigger packs cost less per credit, credits never expire, and a failed separation is refunded automatically.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove vocals from a song on my iPhone?
Open VocalErase, choose a song from your phone, keep Vocals + Instrumental selected and tap Separate. You get the instrumental and the isolated vocals as MP3 files that you can preview, download or share.
Is VocalErase free?
The app is free to download, and new accounts start with free credits that cover the vocals + instrumental split. After that you buy credit packs only when you need them — there is no subscription and credits never expire.
What is a stem splitter?
A stem splitter separates a finished song into its individual parts, called stems — for example vocals, drums, bass, guitar and piano. VocalErase can split a song into 2, 4 or 6 stems.
What file types does VocalErase support?
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and OGG files up to 50 MB and 8 minutes long.
Can I make a karaoke track?
Yes. Removing the lead vocal gives you an instrumental backing track to sing along to. VocalErase does not display lyrics, so play the instrumental in your favorite music or karaoke app.
How good are the results?
AI separation works best on clean studio recordings. Dense mixes or heavy reverb can leave faint traces of one stem in another, and piano separation is still experimental.
Private by design
VocalErase works with a temporary, device-only account by default — no email required to get started. You can optionally save your account with an email or Sign in with Apple to keep your credits and history safe across devices. Your uploaded songs and results are deleted automatically — after 24 hours, or 7 days once you have bought credits — unless you choose to keep a song forever for 1 credit. You can delete your account and all your data at any time from the Account tab. Read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
